This is the 100th post on this blog and I am glad that the effort to write my life story has come such a long way. It has definitely taken a lot of endeavour and energy from me. Yet, the satisfaction derived is uncomparable. I am happy and thankful to all my friends and other readers who’s words have encouraged me to keep the work going

Its a delightful coincidence that the centurion post is the narration of the small birthday party that was held in my honour by parents and friends. I am thankful to them not just for this, but for everything they have done for me. As I was in Bhopal on my birthday, the celebrations were held on 11th March 2008

Though the plan was to surprise me, I was not much surprised for I knew that these people had planned this. Yet, I was happy to know this. I believe, it was the last day of internal exams and after the exams, all my friends told me that they will come to home in the evening and we will go to the Nruptunga Hills. But I immediately knew that they were coming for my birthday celebration as the hill journey is always very casual and doesnt require any planning

At around 5 pm, the gang (Priyanka, Deepak, Sachin and Vikram) arrived with a beautiful cake with them. Soon, I had a wash and we all went to the Sai Baba Temple, Shirdi Nagar. Even my sisters, Sushma and Spurti, joined us. We spent some time there and after seeking the lord’s blessings, we relaxed for some time and came back home

Unfortunately, there was a power cut. We did not have enough time to wait as they had to move home in time. So, I had to celebrate the day under the candle light. In fact, it was more beautiful and lovely to do so. The usual formalities continued and the day was celebrated

This is the last birthday that I will be celebrating as a student. All these 3 years as a commerce student, life has gone well. Some people came too close and were very good friends with me. While most of them are going ahead with higher education and another bunch of them are supposed to handle their family business, I fall into the category of students who are on a lookout for an immediate job. Though my scores definitely speak volumes about a good academic life ahead, the current conditions of life have prohibited me from venturing into them. There numerous ways in which I am thinking about the future. A bank job, a business plan, a Govt job, a sales job, LIC business, etc are some arenas in which I am thinking. As of now, I am determined to go ahead with a job in a bank (officer level) and simultaneously pursue my MBA through correspondence and also promote LIC & Mutual Fund business also. Lets see where life will take me. Today might be one among the last meetings that we all are having. Who knows, where our destinies will take us after graduation. I just wish that everyone should lead a righteous life and be happy always

After a small refreshment, everyone was back to their homes

A lot of thoughts were running in my mind about the days to come. Numerous directions to move. Lets see where the stars will lead us

Once this post goes online, the blog will be a 100 post strong blog. My efforts to continue writing will be on. It helps in a regular introspection of life and helps in shaping one’s personality. And my motto of writing this blog was, is and always will be

THE WORLD IS MY FAMILY

LET MY FAMILY KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT ME

Thanking everyone for the wonderful support and wishing myself A Very Happy Birthday…

A small cartoon which shows us that there is nothing that can’t be done. There is a definite solution to every problem. an old quote goes, ‘The same opportunity never knocks again’. But today, what we believe is, when you do not have an opportunity, its the time to create one. Further, the opportunities are everywhere, all you need to do is, FIND THEM!!!

Here is a doctor who doesn’t have patients and lets see what new profession he takes up…

Go on, the world is a bundle of opportunities, find them and make the best us of them. But yes, definitely not like this doctor who has followed wrong steps to create them. Be righteous and keep yourself active. You will soon achieve…

Negative Thought Can Kill Dreams
Thoughts Are the First Principle in the Science of Getting Rich
How do you handle your thoughts? Did you know that on average you have anywhere between 40-50,000 thoughts a day? This is without adding all the negativity you might be getting from the TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, and the internet. What do you think sells – negative or positive news? A few years back ABC News actually had a 5 minute segment of positive news at the end of the national news on Friday night. It lasted a couple of years and they found that it wasn’t popular with its viewers, so they stopped having a good news segment
Here’s another startling statistic. Did you now that 87% of our thoughts are negative? It’s not a wonder everyone dwells on negativity and one of the major reasons we have so many negative people in this world
Wallace Wattles writes
“Every form and process you see in nature is the visible expression of a thought in the original substance. As it thinks of a form, it takes that form; as it thinks of a motion, it makes that motion. That is the way all things were created. We live in a thought world, and this world is a part of a thought universe.” (SoGR-Chapter 4)
We all have ‘ thought’ choices. Remember the saying ‘garbage in — garbage out’. Well that’s what’s happening to us with disastrous results. Some choices you can make to change this are to limit the amount of time you watch the news or read the newspaper. Paraphrasing what Wattles said is ‘when you think negative thoughts, you will create that thought’
Thoughts just come and go and if we spent all of our time giving each thought ownership, we’d be a complete mess. Our mind allows us to filter our thoughts, and we get to choose which ones we want to pay attention to and expand on. This is where we have to choose wisely, for thoughts become feelings and feelings create action with the end becoming a result
Now just think if you chose what you want to think about and impress those thoughts upon the universe. What you think about most often is what you become or what you form. Watch your thoughts – it’s who you become. Learning how to control your thoughts is the first principle in the Science of Getting Rich
MIND YOUR THOUGHTS
By Anil Bhatnagar
Have you ever thought about the fact that there is never a moment when you are not thinking—that whatever happens in this world begins with a thought? Here are five simple steps to help you manage your thoughts and achieve success and happiness in life
Be aware of your thoughts…
Start watching your thoughts, without identifying with them. Watch them as a detached observer. You may even get carried away by your thoughts. Never mind. It is natural—especially for a beginner. What you need to do, whenever you detect this, is to take yourself out of your thoughts immediately and get back to the process of thought-watching once again as a detached observer. Do not get perturbed by your thoughts. Don’t condemn or justify them. Don’t try to control them. Just watch them. After some time, you will come to know what your negative thoughts are about. Now concentrate on all the positive thoughts that you can replace these thoughts with, in order to switch over to a more positive attitude towards them. Our attempt should be to cut down the quantity of unnecessary thoughts and to improve the quality of the necessary ones. Keep yourself busy. Simple food, deep breathing and relaxation exercises also help manage your thoughts easily. Expect less from others
Identify negative thoughts…
Keep a logbook. Jot down your thoughts. Write down happenings of the day. Were they positive, appropriate and adequate or were they confused, superfluous and negative? Could you notice the interval between the happening and your response? If yes, could your foresee your negative thoughts? If not, what can, you do to notice this interval? Was there any discrepancy between words and thoughts? If yes, was it justified—could you find a better way of harmonizing your words and thoughts? Was the verbal response necessary, appropriate and adequate?
Sometimes we talk to others, or simply to ourselves, or think about something just like that. Ask yourself what provoked you to take the initiative to start a conversation. Was it essential? What was the purpose? Did it serve the purpose? If no, then why not? Did it use any unnecessary and emotionally charged negative words? Were the words used in thinking, inner dialogue or in talking to the other person, precise, appropriate, adequate and positive? Did you feel happy or satisfied after the interaction with the other person or with your inner self? Can you find ways of improving your performance as a thinker or a speaker? Keep in mind that logbooks are meant to get you started and make you aware of your negative thoughts. It is far more important, however, to be aware of these thoughts when they are just taking birth, rather than leave them for later analysis. Be conscious of the interval that separates the event from thoughts with which you respond to the event
Negative thoughts…
Imagine a strong sun radiating a powerful light. Use this mental sunshine to kill your negative, undesirable thoughts, emotions and images as and when these are detected. Take this sun as a mighty weapon which is always on the alert and which automatically chases any negative thought and kills it with a flash and then withdraws. Don’t forget to imagine that this sun is your faithful friend and is extremely kind to you
Keep a note of how many times you need to call the sun for its services. There will be a gradual increase, followed by a drastic fall. This is so because initially the number of times you call on your mental sunshine increases gradually as your awareness of your thoughts grows. The drastic fall is because what we do not use (the negative thoughts, in this case), we tend to lose
Replace with positive thoughts…
A vital step in this process is the immediate replacement of all negative thoughts by the positive ones. The shorter the interval between the disinfecting and the replacing stage, the better it is. Longer intervals between these two events weaken the impact of the positive thoughts. Our success and happiness depend on identifying our goals precisely and chasing them effectively, both of which, in turn, depend on how well we manage our thoughts. The quality of our thoughts decides the quality of the outcomes we land up with. Thoughts have the power to materialize themselves because they are instrumental in channeling energy towards the physical or mental condition they are about. External situations and the remarks of others can harm us through our thoughts—but only to the extent our thoughts allow them to. So think positive. Talk positive. Read positive quotable quotes of great people. Surround yourself with posters and cards bearing positive messages. Keep them on your table. Hang them on the walls. Paste them near the bathroom mirror and on the doors. Stick them on your watchstrap. Keep them on the refrigerator. Have them on the dashboard of the car. Slip them under the glass of the table in front of you. Slide them in the inner side of the briefcase you carry. Find other suitable places where you are bound to look at them every day
Remember that these messages will stale with prolonged use. So keep changing their position and contents. Do not let the momentum of these thoughts get weaker. Use them appropriately in response to specific negative thoughts. The replacing thought must be positive in every sense. Apart from being inspiring and assuring, it should also be suggestive. For example, if you confront a negative thought, “I can never succeed”, it will not suffice if you replace it with “Sun! Attack! I can succeed”. This kind of replacement may not be effective, for it sounds like wishful thinking and lacks assurance, depth and penetrating certainty. It is better to break your replacing thought down into more definite and specific steps or instructions. The replacing thought in this case may be: “I can succeed. By earlier failures I have become rich in experience and have come to know specific areas that require special attention. I will jot them down and systematically think of the ways in which I can improve. I shall plan. And then stick to it. There is absolutely no reason why I should not succeed. I will assess, plan, execute, monitor, modify and carryon with the plan, and finally succeed. In fact, I think that success has already been achieved and only time separates my thought of success and its transformation into reality. I am committing myself to all that is required to achieve success. I am a river that knows no obstacles. I shall find my way anyhow—and if there is none I shall make one.”
Reinforce…
Thoughts like these can be further reinforced with emotions and images. All this may take longer than one single replacing thought, but these are far more effective since they allow you to divide the desired target into workable units. Focus on a pleasant event that took place in the past. This way your thoughts will turn positive and your emotions and images will reinforce each other, resulting in an overall positive attitude

Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight, and height
Let the doctors worry about them.. That is why you pay them
Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down
Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches!
Keep learning
Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain get idle. ‘An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.’ And the devil’s name is Alzheimer’s!

Enjoy the simple things
Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with him or her!
The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourself. LIVE while you are alive
Surround yourself with what you love: Whether it’s family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge
Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help
Don’t take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is
Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity
Freaking out and enjoying life doesn’t need drugs or cigarettes

There are relationships apart from Bf/Gf, marriage, siblings, friendship that can be very emotional and true which is beyond the understanding of many people

And yeah even though U may be the best of friends there is always a limit which should never be crossed. Then it starts hurting…

Improving U r imperfections after you realize it, always take some time

You always don’t need to show or prove your Gf/Bf how much U love or care about her/him, which can sound very boring and finally U R dumped

Believe in Love , true love will never let you down

Never be ashamed to go back to your old friends, friends are there to understand your mistakes

Do not be afraid of others, always think that others are afraid of you. (remember the Australian Beggar at the railway station)

Whenever you need your friend, remember that he is just a phone call away…distances can’t separate friends

In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends

It’s the friends you can call up at 4 A. M. that matter

The only unchangeable certainty is that nothing is certain or unchangeable

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with never say a word, and then walk away with a feeling like it was the best conversation you’ve ever had

And last but not the least- do what your heart loves
Karo wahi jo, DIL CHAHTA HAI !!!

Well, the 5th sem exams for BCom are over
And as mentioned earlier, even CA exams, CAT, CDS, etc have also said ALVIDAAA… Thank God
I just thought I will have a look at my performance check
.
As for as CA exams are concerned, it was a nightmare. Those 6 subjects are just hell. I was just praying God to help me cross over these as soon as possible. I know I am going to flunk in this exam. But I am not bothered much because that doesn’t have much relevance to me. I started this CA race with a lot of plans and a commitment to seriously make a career in this. But things have not shaped up as I expected due to which I have not been able to concentrate into this. But then, picture abhi khatam nahi hua hai…
.
CAT, Hmmm…, waste of Rs 1100 (form fees) + 40 (courier charges) + 700 (Going to B’lore to write exams and back). Thus, a total loss of Rs. 1840 :-( . I just feel that it was a nice trip to Bangalore. Not that nice too. In fact, I was not even able to meet many of my friends. Just Kudda Mallya, Gurya n RD. Because of the lack of time and the urgency to return back the next day because of the BCom exams, I had to rush. The exam was on sunday and BCom exams would commence from monday. I had taken a reservation for the return journey by Channamma Express that night. However, I thought I will come back in the afternoon and cancel the ticket. But then, I changed my mind as one of my friend, Deepak, was also at Bangalore. I went to his uncle’s house where he had haulted. We studied for some time. We were so tired that our eyes were almost getting closed each moment. In the evening, we went out to get a cell phone for his uncle. And then, we went to the railway station. I got a free upgrade to AC 3 tier. And you won’t believe, we were 4 in the train, all in different bogies. There were around 800 people travelling like us. A few lucky people (around 30) got this upgrade. And we all were in that lucky list. Moreover, I was actually in the waiting list. It was a good journey. And yeah, not to forget, we continued studying for the next day’s exam, Financial Management
.
CDS was a an unexpected strike. I never thought I will write this exam. But I dont know how and why, I just went on, took the form, mailed it, wrote the exam. It was OK. What I feel is, I have performed well, but I may not be able to qualify into the top few who get the call for interview. I was surprised to find some of my SSBJ friends at the test. In fact, we are built for this and defence is in every Ajeet’s blood but unfortunately, not all have it in their fate. Keshav and Vinay surprised me by their presence in the exam. In fact, they were more surprised to see me there. It was a very hectic exam. 3 papers on a single day. It started from 9 am and ended at 5 pm. 9 to 11, 12 to 2, 3 to 5. Sounds like some primary exam timings. But then, the level of difficulty is too high. It is no less than an IAS exam. In fact, it should have been more competitive if more Indians were interested in defence. Aayega, aayega, yeh din bhi jaroor aayega jab log defence ko ek career ke taur pe treat karenge. Its a nobel profession with great honors. I’d love to be into it. But these days, as things have taken a new shape, I am not able to deeply think about this

Then the big boss, BCom. I have always been saying, Life has become a bloody hell because of this. Not because of the exams, but because of this course. The course is very good but we never learnt it. Hardly, any classes are being conducted in the college. Teachers hain tho students nahi aur students hai to teachers nahi. Further, this being the college in the heart of the city and famous for its notorious activities, you can imagine, what is the fate of the people here. Hardly does anyone comes to teach or learn. Its more like a club than a college. But then, we love it. There is no one to be blamed for this. Parampara hai bhai! 1947 main yeh college ka birth hua hai. Shayad issi liye, British log bhi yahaan se bhaag gaye… 60 years of existence now. Almost 90% of the students are all children of businessmen. They are nowhere bothered about life. Because, this is not going to matter them at all. Let they fail or pass, their ultimate destination is the shop, wherein, they have to continue to family business. Tho, college kyun aathe hain? Arey bhaiyaa, shaadi ke time Graduation ka certificate bhi hona hai na. Nahin tho, ladki inse bhi experienced bann jaayegi…

Oh! My exams. They were good. Not that good as I perform everytime. But considering the fact that I had not studied a single word, it was better than my expectations. I am expecting the following scores in the exams. These are the minimum expectations and I am definitely going to get more than this for sure
Auditing- 53/80
Financial Management- 49/80
Computers- 53/80
Tax Procedures- 52/80
Entrepreneurship- 62/80
Statistics I- 70/80
Statistics II- 39/80
Aggregate- 378/560, ie, an average of 54 out of 80 per subject
Internal marks expected (at 18 per subject)- 126 out of 140
Total marks- 504
Percentage- 72%

This is the minimum score expected by me in the exams. So, my score will be higher than this
Ab kya karein???

Now the next big thing in my life is NCFM exams

As they are scheduled on 8th and 9th of this month, I just have 3 days for them. I need to put in the best and clear these exams. And then, I need to concentrate on trading and LIC sales too. Hmmm… hectic life na!!!

Chalo, let get back to work

Kal kare so aaj kar, Aaj kare so ab
Pal mein parlay hoyegi, bahuri karega kab

A debt should be paid off till the last penny, and an enemy should be destroyed without a trace

A human being should strive for four things in life — dharma (duty), artha (money), kama (pleasure) and moksha (salvation). A person who hasn’t striven for even one of these things has wasted life

A man is great by deeds, not by birth

A person should not be too honest. Just as straight trees are chopped-down first, honest people are taken advantage of first

A rich man has many friends

A woman is four times as shy, six times as brave and eight times as lusty as a man

An egoist can be won over by being respected, a crazy person can be won over by allowing him to behave in an insane manner and a wise person can be won over by truth

As centesimal droppings will fill a pot so also are knowledge, virtue and wealth gradually obtained. As soon as the fear approaches near, attack it and destroy it

Avoid him who talks sweetly before you but tries to ruin you behind your back, for he is like a pitcher of poison with milk on top

Before you start any work, always ask yourself three questions — Why am I doing it? What the results might be? And Will I be successful? Only when you think deeply and find satisfactory answers to these questions, go ahead

Books are as useless to a stupid person as a mirror is useful to a blind person

Education is the best friend. An educated person is respected everywhere. Education surpasses the beauty and the youth

Even if a snake is not poisonous, it should pretend to be

God is not present in idols. Your feelings are your god. The soul is your temple

He who befriends a man whose conduct is vicious, whose vision impure, and who is notoriously crooked, is rapidly ruined

Don’t hesitate to learn something even from the most lowly of creatures

In a state where the ruler lives like a common man, the citizens live like kings. And in the state where the ruler lives like a king, the citizens live like beggars

Jealousy is another name for failure

Never go on a long journey alone

Never make friends with people who are above or below you in status. Such friendships will never give you any happiness

Variant version: Friendship should be among equals

Once you start working on something, don’t be afraid of failure and don’t abandon it. People who work sincerely are the happiest

One who is in search of knowledge should give up the search of pleasure and the one who is in search of pleasure should give up the search of knowledge

The biggest guru-mantra is: Never share your secrets with anybody. It will destroy you

The four greatest enemies of a man are — the father who has taken a loan, the characterless mother, the beautiful but promiscuous wife and the stupid child

The fragrance of flowers spreads only in the direction of the wind. But the goodness of a person spreads in all directions

The world’s biggest power is the youth and beauty of a woman

There is some self-interest behind every friendship. There is no friendship without self-interests. This is a bitter truth

Whores don’t live in company of poor men, birds don’t build nests on a tree that doesn’t bear fruits and citizens never support a weak administration

Wise men should never go into a country where there are no means of earning one’s livelihood, where the people have no dread of anybody, have no sense of shame, no intelligence, or a charitable disposition

Whoever imposes severe punishment becomes repulsive to the people; while he who awards mild punishment becomes contemptible. But whoever imposes punishment as deserved becomes respectable. For punishment when awarded with due consideration, makes the people devoted to righteousness and to works productive of wealth and enjoyment; while punishment, when ill-awarded under the influence of greed and anger or owing to ignorance, excites fury even among hermits and ascetics dwelling in forests, not to speak of householders

If a king is energetic, his subjects will be equally energetic. If he is reckless, they will not only be reckless likewise, but also eat into his works. Besides, a reckless king will easily fall into the hands of his enemies. Hence the king shall ever be wakeful

All urgent calls he shall hear at once, but never put off; for when postponed, they will prove too hard or impossible to accomplish

A person should not be too honest. Straight trees are cut first and Honest people are victimised first

Even if a snake is not poisonous, it should pretend to be venomous

The biggest guru-mantra is: Never share your secrets with anybody. ! It will destroy you

There is some self-interest behind every friendship. There is no Friendship without self-interests. This is a bitter truth

Treat your kid like a darling for the first five years. For the next five years, scold them. By the time they turn sixteen, treat them like a friend. Your grown up children are your best friends

Books are as useful to a stupid person as a mirror is useful to a blind person

Education is the best friend. An educated person is respected everywhere. Education beats the beauty and the youth

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: “Daddy, may I ask you a question?”
DAD: “Yeah sure, what it is?” replied the man.
SON: “Daddy, how much do you make an hour?”
DAD: “That’s none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?” The man said angrily.
SON: “I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make anHour?”
DAD: “If you must know, I make Rs.100 an hour.”
SON: “Oh,” the little boy replied, with his head down.
SON: “Daddy, may I please borrow Rs.50?”

The father was furious, “If the only reason you asked that is so youCan borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then You march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about. Why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such thisChildish behavior.”
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the littleboy’squestions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with thatRs.50 and he really didn’t ask for money very often. The man went tothe door of the little boy’s room and opened the door.
“Are you asleep, son?” He asked.
“No daddy, I’m awake,” replied the boy.
“I’ve been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier” said theman.
“It’s been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here’s the Rs.50 you asked for.”
The little boy sat straight up, smiling. “Oh, thank you daddy!” Heyelled.
Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked upat his father.
“Why do you want more money if you already have some?” the fathergrumbled.
“Because I didn’t have enough, but now I do,” the little boy replied.
“Daddy, I have Rs.100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time?
Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner withyou.”
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness

It’s just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life

We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent sometime with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts

Do remember to share that Rs.100 worth of your time with someone youlove

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for therest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves moreinto work than to our family

Once upon a time in a village, a man appeared and announced to thevillagers that he would buy monkeys for Rs10.
The villagers seeing that there were many monkeys around, went out to the forest and started catching them.
The man bought thousands at Rs10 and as supply started to diminish, thevillagers stopped their effort. He further announced that he would now buyat Rs20. This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again.
Soon the supply diminished even further and people started going back totheir farms. The offer rate increased to Rs25 and the supply of monkeysbecame so little that it was an effort to even see a monkey, let alone catch it!
The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at Rs50! However, since hehad to go to the city on some business, his assistant would now buy onbehalf of him.
In the absence of the man, the assistant told the villagers. Look at all these monkeys in the big cage that the man has collected. I will sell themto you at Rs35 and when the man returns from the city, you can sell it tohim for Rs50.”
The villagers squeezed up with all their savings and bought all the monkeys.
Then they never saw the man nor his assistant, only monkeys everywhere!! !
Welcome to the “Stock” Market!!!!!
